JAKARTA - Attorney General today re-scheduled examination of the former Minister of State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Dahlan Iskan to be examined as a witness in a case of alleged corruption in the procurement of 16 electric cars three state-owned companies worth Rp32 billion.
"Yes, today was scheduled inspection at 09.00 am as a witness," said Head of Information Law AGO, Tony T Spontana at the AGO, Jalan Sultan Hasanuddin, South Jakarta, Wednesday (06/17/2015).
This call is the second time by the Attorney General after Dahlan did not attend the examination on Wednesday, June 10th, 2015. At that time, Dahlan new reasoned get a summons from the Special Criminal investigator (Pidsus) so that he is not ready to meet the call.
Furthermore, Tony said so far investigators have tested about 19 witnesses to explore the case in the year 2013 was.
"Since June 5, during the period of inquiry and investigation, has been checked out 19 people, should have the same 20 DI (week) yesterday, but he came and replaced baseball today," said Tony.
Until now, the AGO has named two suspects in this case the President Director of PT Pratama Sarimas Ahmadi, Ahmadi Dasep (DA) as the private sector working on the project and a former official at the Ministry of SOEs Agus Suherman (USA) who is currently the Director of Perum Fisheries Indonesia ,
As is known the case started in 2013 when Dahlan Iskan served as Minister of State-Owned Enterprises commissioned a number of state-owned companies namely PT Pertamina, PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN), and PT BRI to sponsor the procurement of electric cars in order to support the operational activities of the APEC conference in 2013 in Bali.
Prosecutors suspect irregularities because the 16 cars it could not really be used. The 16 cars were then assigned to the six universities, namely UI, ITB, UGM, UB and the University of Riau.
As a result of the project, the three state-owned companies are experiencing losses but prosecutors have not yet decided how big the losses suffered. (Merdeka.com)
